Kick-off BBQ

Well, it’s officially the start of a new university school year. And I know the question on everyone’s mind is: “What fun and exciting events does Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) have in the works for this coming year?”

Well, good news! This Friday is our kick-off BBQ!

What: IVCF Opening BBQ!
Where: Candy Cane Park (near the new Wascana Skate Park)
When: 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 5
Why: Because it’s fun!
Cost: $2.00
If you need a ride, be at the Ad-Hum pit in the University at 5:30 p.m.

The two dollars covers burgers, drinks, and chips. It’s a great time to meet new and old friends alike, and to get an idea of what IVCF is all about.

See you there!

IVCF Summer Update!

IVCF will be holding a barbeque this coming Friday (May 30) at Candy Cane Park. We’ll be bringing buns, drinks, condiments, and briquets. All you need to bring is yourselves. Oh, and some meat. Bring a burger or hot dog and we’ll get it cooked up for ya. Show up at 6:00 pm or whenever you can make it for some laid-back relaxing and good times.

In other news, IVCF’s summer bible study on the book of Jonah will be starting this Thursday 7:30pm (May 29th) at Mathew’s house on 4-133 Davidson Crescent. If you need directions, give him a call at 585-0088.

Hey Everyone!

So after fun times baking over 300 cookies and packaging over 400 candies and cookies on Friday evening.  Now the time to share the love we put into making these gifts with the University of Regina.  IVCF will be having a table in the Riddell Center giving away these packages we made.  This is considered an Act of Kindness (hence the name).  Students, professors, friends, etc do not expect us to do something like this.  It is a way of us showing that we care about the University and their students and also that God loves each and everyone of us.  If you have time, please come out to the table anytime between 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM and help hand out these Valentines Gifts.  If not, swing by anyways, and take some for your profs and classmates.

So I know that most of you will be doing something fun for the Reading Week Break.  Well, for those who are still sticking around, this Friday, IVCF will be going tobogganing.  Here is the information:

Who? - Anyone and everyone!  Bring your friends =)
What? - Tobogganing!!  We all need to be a kid once in awhile
Where? - Mt. Pleasant.  The awesome Hill!!
When? - Friday, February 15th, 2008 @ 7:00.  Rides from the Ad Hum Pit at 6:45 PM
After-Event - @ the White House (Justin’s House)

Also, if you have any extra toboggans, please bring them out.

So some of you may be thinking, ” what if it’s freezing out?”  Well, I heard that the weather forecast was suppose to be only -4 degrees.  However, if the does turn into a blistering cold day, we will just simply meet at my house.  My address is:
